REAL Finance has expanded access to its native $ASSET token for eligible users of Kraken EU, giving the Sofia-based blockchain company a broader distribution channel across European markets.
$ASSET is used within the REAL Finance network to pay transaction fees, participate in staking, support network security and take part in onchain governance. The token already had a presence on Kraken, with the latest development extending availability through the exchange’s European Union operations.
Layer 1 network targets tokenized real-world assets
REAL Finance is building a Layer 1 blockchain focused on tokenized real-world financial assets. The company says its infrastructure is designed to support these assets throughout their lifecycle, including issuance, administration, distribution and settlement.
The project is targeting more than €3.5 billion in assets for tokenization through its ecosystem. It is also developing relationships with regulated financial institutions, custodians and other infrastructure providers as it builds an institutional network in Europe.
One of those partners is Wiener Privatbank, an Austrian bank regulated by the Austrian Financial Market Authority. According to REAL Finance, the institution supports custody, reserve management, asset structuring and institutional distribution within the ecosystem.
Company focuses on institutional onchain markets
REAL Finance CEO Ivo Grigorov said Europe remains a key market as the company works to connect regulated institutions with blockchain-based capital markets.
“Expanding access to $ASSET through Kraken EU gives more participants in the region a way to engage with the network as that institutional ecosystem grows,” Grigorov said.
The company’s broader strategy is centered on bringing regulated financial assets and related capital-market activities onchain, including custody, settlement and potential secondary-market applications. Access through Kraken EU adds to the ways eligible European users can obtain $ASSET while REAL Finance continues developing its institutional infrastructure.
