Pi Network’s PI token was trading near $0.0915 on Tuesday after preserving a roughly 10% gain recorded in August. The recovery has coincided with OpenPay’s decision to restore its cash-in feature, giving users a way to convert PI and other supported altcoins into the OUSD stablecoin for payments and transfers.
OpenPay brings back PI conversion support
OpenPay, a Web3 decentralized wallet connected to the Pi Network ecosystem, said on Monday that it had reintroduced the feature following demand from its community. The service supports 96 partners, including Pi Network, banks in the Philippines and international payment providers such as Apple Pay and PayPal.
Users who want to pay with PI must first exchange their tokens for OUSD. The stablecoin can then be used for transfers, QR-code payments or transactions sent back to a Pi Wallet. The restored functionality expands the ways PI holders can move and spend their assets, although OpenPay’s additional Know Your Customer requirements could create privacy and accessibility concerns for some users.
PI remains below key technical resistance
Despite the added payment utility, PI remains below the psychologically important $0.1000 level. The token is also facing resistance at the 50% Fibonacci retracement near $0.1022, based on the decline from $0.1341 to $0.0703. Together, these levels form a resistance area between $0.1000 and $0.1022.
A confirmed daily close above that zone could improve the token’s bullish outlook and potentially open a path toward the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.1204. However, PI’s momentum indicators remain relatively subdued. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator and its signal line are moving sideways slightly above zero, while the Relative Strength Index is near 52, just above its midpoint.
$0.0836 is the key near-term support
The 23.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.0836 is the main immediate support level. A confirmed break below it could expose the previous swing low at $0.0703 and weaken the current recovery structure.
For now, PI is consolidating above $0.091 as traders wait for a decisive move. The next major signal will come from whether buyers can reclaim the $0.1000–$0.1022 resistance zone or sellers push the token below $0.0836.
