MEXC Reports 130% August Surge in Stock and ETF Futures Trading

MEXC Stock Futures Trading Quantity Rises 130% in August as Trading Process Broadens All over U.S. and Korean emory and Semiconductor Sectors

MEXC said trading volume across its stock, index and ETF futures products increased 130% month-on-month in August, as activity expanded across U.S. and Korean equities, semiconductor products and other market-linked assets.

The exchange’s August TradFi report, released on September 11, 2026, also showed that the number of available spot contracts rose 35% to more than 400. Trading volume for tokenized stocks and ETFs increased 30% from July, with higher activity recorded across nearly all existing listings.

Semiconductor exposure drives futures activity

Memory and semiconductor-related products accounted for much of the growth in stock futures. SK hynix-linked futures ranked second overall and first among futures tracking individual companies, with volume rising approximately 401% month-on-month. Micron-linked futures placed third after volume climbed about 267%.

Combined volume for products tied to Korean companies and markets, including SKHYNIX, SKHY, SAMSUNG and KORU, rose roughly 348%. Their share of total stock futures volume increased from 14% in July to 27% in August. SanDisk-linked futures also recorded higher volume, although their share declined from 25% to 11%.

Activity extended into leveraged semiconductor ETFs. SOXL futures, which track an ETF providing three-times daily long exposure to the semiconductor sector, saw volume jump approximately 1,192%. Its share of total stock futures volume rose from less than 4% in July to 20% in August. SOXS futures, which track a three-times inverse leveraged semiconductor ETF, recorded a 436% increase.

By contrast, futures linked to the S&P 500 fell about 32%, suggesting that August trading was more concentrated in sector-specific products than broad-market indices. Futures tied to SpaceX and Tesla also posted gains of approximately 45% and 784%, ranking fifth and tenth, respectively, among individual stock futures listings.

Tokenized stock trading broadens

Net trading volume for MEXC’s tokenized stocks and ETFs grew 30% month-on-month, while the segment’s share of total TradFi spot volume rose from 63% to 73%. About 99% of the listed products recorded volume increases, and the top 10 represented only 12% of segment volume, indicating that activity was distributed across a broad range of assets.

Circle-linked trading ranked first in the segment, with volume up 69%. Coinbase- and Robinhood-linked products also entered the top 10, with combined volume across the three crypto-related listings increasing 47%. Nebius ranked third after volume rose 188%, while NVIDIA placed fifth with a 54% increase. The report said interest in artificial-intelligence-related assets extended across both semiconductor and cloud-computing products.

MEXC said its products provide access to U.S., Korean and Hong Kong equity-linked markets using USDT through a single account. Stock futures support long and short positions around the clock, and trading during the 10 weekend days in August represented about 11% of monthly volume.

The exchange also said its 0808: Stock Season zero-fee campaign attracted more than 86,000 users and resulted in more than $1 million in reported trading-fee savings.
