Capital B Raises €21 Million to Expand Its Bitcoin Treasury

Capital B Raises €21M From Adam Back and TOBAM To Aquire Extra BTC

Capital B, a company listed on Euronext Growth that describes itself as Europe’s first Bitcoin treasury firm, has raised €21 million in a private placement backed by Blockstream co-founder Adam Back and asset manager TOBAM.

The company said the financing could fund the purchase of approximately 270 additional Bitcoin, increasing its holdings to roughly 3,415 BTC. A total of 36,219,070 shares were sold at €0.58 each, representing a 6.45% discount to the previous Wednesday’s closing price. Net proceeds are expected to total approximately €19.9 million after expenses and transaction costs.

Capital B expands Bitcoin holdings

Capital B currently holds 3,145 BTC, valued at approximately $245 million based on a Bitcoin price of $77,960 at the time of the announcement. The company ranked among the largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury firms and has expanded its holdings through several fundraising rounds during the first half of 2026.

In May, Capital B purchased 192 Bitcoin for €13 million after completing three capital raises.

The latest financing comes as more companies pursue Bitcoin treasury strategies, while others face pressure from weaker cryptocurrency prices and the need to raise capital or liquidate holdings. Some corporate Bitcoin holders have reduced their reserves to address financial obligations, highlighting the risks associated with treasury strategies tied to the asset’s market performance.
