Capital B SA has raised €25.3 million and used the proceeds to purchase 376 Bitcoin, expanding its corporate treasury to more than 1,800 BTC.
The company acquired the coins at an average price of €67,287 per Bitcoin, according to a September 7 regulatory release. The transaction gives Capital B a larger direct exposure to Bitcoin and places it among European publicly traded companies using the cryptocurrency as a balance-sheet asset.
Capital increase funds treasury expansion
Unlike a purchase financed solely through existing cash reserves, Capital B’s latest acquisition followed a capital increase. The structure makes the Bitcoin strategy part of the company’s broader financing and treasury policy, while also leaving investors to assess the effects of potential dilution, Bitcoin price movements and future capital raises.
With more than 1,800 BTC now held in reserve, changes in Bitcoin’s market value may have a meaningful impact on how investors view the company alongside its underlying business operations. The latest purchase also adds to the growing number of European firms building corporate Bitcoin holdings.
