Nvidia and Palantir are expanding their existing relationship with a new collaboration focused on artificial intelligence tools for supply-chain management. Under the arrangement, Palantir customers will be able to combine Palantir’s software and data systems with Nvidia’s Nemotron open models to build AI applications for their own operations.
Nvidia plans to deploy the technology across its internal supply chain before making the offering more broadly available. The company’s operations involve thousands of suppliers and extensive networks of components, giving the partnership a large-scale commercial environment in which to test the system.
Combining Palantir software with Nvidia computing
The proposed stack brings together Palantir Foundry and its Artificial Intelligence Platform with Nvidia accelerated computing, CUDA-X libraries and Nemotron models. The companies say the system is intended to help organizations run AI on sensitive data while maintaining greater control over their models and infrastructure.
That approach is part of the broader push toward so-called sovereign AI, in which governments and companies retain local control over strategic data, software and computing resources. The potential use cases extend across manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology and government operations.
For Palantir customers, the partnership could provide a way to develop and operate supply-chain models on their own infrastructure rather than depending entirely on closed AI providers. Both companies have promoted open models that can be downloaded, modified and deployed by users, putting their strategy in competition with providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
Shares dip despite new agreement
The announcement did not immediately lift either company’s stock. Nvidia shares were down about 0.8% in premarket trading, while Palantir shares fell roughly 1%. The move was attributed to broader weakness in technology stocks linked to rising bond yields, rather than to a specific concern about the partnership.
The agreement follows a separate Nvidia-Palantir collaboration announced in June focused on artificial intelligence for the US government. Nvidia’s decision to test the supply-chain platform within its own business could give Palantir an important reference customer as it seeks to expand among defense, manufacturing and government clients.
